Project entails construction of 77 substations and laying of more than 450km of underground EHV power cables in different areas of Qatar. Approximately 36km would involve 400kV cables, 47.5km would involve 220kV cables, 285.8km would involve 132kV cables and the remaining 84km would involve 66kV cables.
Project entails extension of Umm Al Houl Power Plant. The expansion will raise it›s overall capacity to 198 million gallons of water per day by 2021. It will use the new reverse osmosis technology, which will improve production efficiency and reduce the use of gas in production system.
